Then check with your news service and find out how many simultaneous connections they allow. Common limits are 2, 4, 8, or 10 connections. Few servers allow more than 10.

6.71 now has a 20 second delay on disconnect and re-connect. We'll see if that changes anything. I run 10 of my possible 20 connection to AW and never get "too many connections" errors. I'm always getting connection errors with AW over SSL. It only happens with AW so I know it's some AW issue. In 6.71 they're listed as "timeout waiting for data".
